BAY TO BREAKERS

So I ran my very first footrace on Sunday. BAY TO BREAKERS. Although it's not a very serious race, it was my very first, so whatever. Besides, I wanted to join in on the fun of dressing up and having an outrageous outfit. Of course, naked people, drunk people, people cheering you on, way too serious runners... a pretty awesome experience. 7.46 miles in 1 hour and 16 minutes. Not bad for a guy that's not much of a runner. I was ranked 5660 out of... I don't know, like 30,000 registered runners? pretty cool. haha. I'll post up pics when I get them.

HEALTH FITNESS FREAK

Much has happened since my last post.

Well my last post wasn't much of a post at all. haha. Anyways, Ever since dragon boat season has started, I have realized that I will not make any personal goals. I don't know why, but I've just decided to keep it simple. Stay healthy, work out hard, and maintain a high level fitness. And I've been doing just that. And also after watching the movie "300", I might be aiming too high if I want a body of a SPARTAN.

I don't really have a set routine, but I've kept it a consistent pattern. Usually I work out two to three muscle groups a day. And I've been working out SIX times a week. Yes, you heard me, SIX TIMES A WEEK. I don't know why. I just feel this need to be at the gym every chance I get. Some days may be productive, some may not. I usually do double duty on Saturdays... paddle 10-12 and hit the gym from 2-4. But lately I haven't had that doubling up of gym time due to work committments.

The idea of being healthy has been twisted in so many ways that I've just decided.. fuck it. Just sticking to eating what I think is healthy. Eggs, veggies, fruits, oatmeal, pastas, protein shakes here and there. All that good stuff. I still liketo eat out, just nothing too fatty. If you're thinking... MAN, WHAT A HEALTH FREAK! then whatever. I don't let other people's opinions get the best of me. In America's society where obesity rules the land and fast foods are a killing machine, I will stand out and be of the many people that choose to treat their body like a temple. To not poison it, but nourish it. I swear, everytime I see an obese white or black person..I simply think EPITOME OF AMERICA. But I will not judge. I'll just keep doing my thang... to be a health fitness freak... woot woot!
